UP Prokop

The subject Urban Planning Project covers the area of the “Belgrade Center” railway station complex in Prokop. The construction of the railway station and the complex in which it is located is of strategic importance for the resolution of railway traffic, both within the City of Belgrade and at a broader regional level. The objective of preparing the Urban Planning Project is the urban and architectural elaboration of the site, as well as the creation of the necessary conditions for the completion of the ongoing construction of the “Belgrade Center” railway station. This includes functional and visual integration with the surrounding area, coordination of building functions (rail transport, passenger circulation, accessibility), and the organization of green spaces within the complex, while ensuring compliance with all prescribed urban planning parameters (site coverage, elevation, regulation lines, etc.). The project is developed in accordance with the valid prevailing land-use designations for the area and the technical conditions for connections to external infrastructure networks, issued by the relevant public utility authorities. A detailed site analysis was conducted as part of the Urban Planning Project, on the basis of which the planned business and commercial facilities were precisely positioned. The traffic solution was influenced by all applicable plans within the contact zone, making this project an example of a highly complex integration of existing planning and design documentation with the realized built environment.
