Urbanism and Sustainable Development

At the conference “Urbanism and Sustainable Development”, held in Novi Pazar from May 9 to 11, our team participated with two presentations:

Ecological Index in Urban Planning – A Response to Overdevelopment and Climate ChangeTeodora Miletic, MIA
Implementation of Urban Management Instruments in the Process of Developing a Detailed Regulation PlanNadja Vujovic, MIU

The presented topics explored the possibilities and methods of implementing the ecological index, affordable housing, and a higher percentage of greenery and public spaces through the preparation of studies that form an integral part of the Detailed Regulation Plan.

The conference gathered over 200 participants who contributed to discussions across five proposed themes:

  1. Urban planning experiences over 20 years of applying the “Law on Planning and Construction”;
  2. The sustainable city of the future;
  3. Necessary and desirable forms and parameters in urban plans (general urban indicators, housing units, and greenery within them);
  4. The real estate cadastre for the 21st century;
  5. The role of professional users in the national real estate management system.

All papers can be found in the digital proceedings of the 20th Scientific and Professional Conference with International Participation “Urbanism and Sustainable Development”, published on the website of the Urban Planners Association of Serbia.
