First Prize at the International Urban Planning Salon in Bijeljina
Urbanisticki centar, as part of the project team: Andjelka Miloradovic, Milana Vandic, Maja Milicevic, Nadja Vujovic, Teodora Miletic, Milana Tokic, won the 1st Prize at this year’s 33rd Urban Planning Salon in Bijeljina, in the category of Detailed Regulation Plans, for the presentation of the project:
Amendments to the Detailed Regulation Plan for Blocks 15 and 16, located between Makenzijeva Street, Alekse Nenadovica Street, Njegoseva Street, Beogradska Street, and Slavija Square, Municipality of Vracar.
The planned area, covering two city blocks, is divided into two segments – the new development area and the rehabilitation area.
The new development zone is situated along Makenzijeva Street, on currently undeveloped parcels and those within the contact zone of Makenzijeva Street, Prote Mateje Street, and Alekse Nenadovica Street.
The planning solution was developed in accordance with the existing urban block structure, proposing the construction of commercial facilities and a cultural building within the new development area.
The precise location and reconstruction approach for the “Sala mira” cultural monument, which held particular importance in the social and urban development of Belgrade at the time of its creation, will be determined through a public architectural and urban planning competition.
